IDOLS of TORMENT

Created by Black Magic Craft

A dark skirmish game by Black Magic Craft. If you missed the Kickstarter this pre-order store is the last chance to get your copy before we move on to production. IMPORTANT: You must select a "Late Pledge" package before selecting any items from the "Add-Ons" list. If you select "Late Pledge - Rulebook - PDF", you will only be able to include the "All 72 Idol Models - STL" and the "Game Pieces Set - STL" as add-ons. Physical add-ons can only be included with the "Late Pledge" packages that include physical products. This Pre-Order Store does not allow us to create these restrictions - we will be manually scanning all orders and contacting all late backers that have not followed this format with their orders.

Campaign End: Pledge Manager, Late Pledges, and What's Next!
over 1 year ago – Sat, Oct 15, 2022 at 07:24:39 AM

We did it!

First of all we want to extend a huge thank you to everyone that backed this project. It has been an absolute labour of love from day one and it's incredibly exciting to be able to share this game and this setting with you all. This is just the beginning of Idols of Torment and The Echo, and we can continue expanding it because of the solid foundation of support you have so graciously given us!

Thank you so much.

We believe in this game, and we KNOW you are going to love playing it and building for it.  We're already building a community around it (Please join the Discord and Facebook Group if you haven't yet) and have started planning what future game and setting expansions will look like.

But first, there is work to do, and a Kickstarter to fulfill!

What's next?

Pledge Manager

We will be utilizing BackerKit for pledge management. The pledge manager will open Oct. 31st.

Once you have access to the pledge manager you will be able to upgrade your pledge level and choose additional add-ons.

You will use the pledge manager to enter your delivery details (email and shipping address) for digital and physical products, and your final shipping cost will be calculated.  When the pledge manager closes you will be charged for your shipping fees and any add ons you chose in the pledge manager.

Late Pledges

The pledge manager will provide an opportunity for those that just missed the campaign to create late pledges, giving them one more chance to get the game and add ons.

These items will not be available to late pledgers as they were for Kickstarter backers only:

  •  The Vinyl LP Soundtrack and All-In Package (which contains the vinyl) - EVERY late pledge will still receive a digital download copy of the soundtrack.

  •  The Kickstarter Special - This same bundle will be available as the "Late Pledge - Deluxe Complete Game Package" with a bundle savings of 15% rather than the 20% provided to original Kickstarter backers.

The Work

We have a LOT of work on our end to ensure we meet our fulfillment goals and get you playing as soon as possible.  Aside from all the backend logistical work of getting everything ready to be manufactured and shipped, we have the last bit of development work to complete.

The miniatures are all sculpted and we will be able to deliver stl files as soon as BackerKit payment has completed. The second Game Pieces sprue is about the have it's mold cut and our sprues will quickly be ready.

The majority of developmental work left is transferring the draft rules into final book layout format for printing. As SOON as this is completed and sent to the printers will will deliver the pdf copy to all backers so you have the rules as soon as possible.

We will also be finalizing the music production for the soundtrack over the coming weeks (we saved the most fun task for last), and we will be releasing some of the tracks individually on YouTube early for you to listen to and use while gaming.

Once again, a huge thank you for helping us make this possible. The idea of creating our own game was once just a wild daydream, and now it's a reality. We could not have done it without you.

Cheers

Rulebook Preview - Original Fiction by David Annandale
over 1 year ago – Thu, Oct 06, 2022 at 01:14:42 AM

“There are some who come together, thinking there’s safety in large numbers,” said Watcher. “Good luck to them.”

The setting in Idols of Torment was born before the game system. We are very proud of its depth, emotion, and ability to translate into visually stunning models and pieces of terrain. It has driven all aspects of development and been a major focus of this entire project and release. The Rulebook is packed full of content related to the setting, and some of that content is in the form of original short stories by author David Annandale (Black Library, Aconyte Books).

We are so excited to bring all of you along in our journey through the Echo. Therefore, we can't help ourselves from sharing the excitement... Here is a glimpse of one of the multiple stories that will be included in the Rulebook.
